The gallery is back! It isn’t the prettiest thing in the world, and I will continue tweaking the functionality of it, but it is back and doesn’t require a bulky database to support it. I am hopeful that the next few days will prove this is a much less “server-hogging” way to deliver the gallery than before.

Until I decide on a decent piece of code for the subscriptions, the gallery will remain open/free, and zip downloads may come later. You can always donate with the link in the sidebar. Donations go straight to the webhosting bill.

Here is the plan: I have been working crazily on modifying some code I have used in the past to run the gallery without a database. Essentially, the Coppermine database was closing in on 300MB. I am guessing I must’ve hit the limit for efficiency there. So, in a day or two, I will have [...]

The gallery database has been disabled by the web host due to high traffic. My options are to try to improve the database efficiency; buy dedicated hosting; drastically reduce what is offered in the gallery; or take it offline permanently.
